Mark 8, came with a computer controlled, four wheel air suspension
system,
with air struts in the front and air springs in the rear. Like all
modern
air suspension systems, the air is contained in rubber air bags that
wear
out over time and with use. When that happens, you suddenly discover
that
you have a very expensive repair needed to get your car back on the
road,
one most shops will tell you is a dealer only task.
At Suspension Alternatives, we find it sad to drive around and see these cars sitting in yards with the suspension deflated because they are too expensive to repair. We know the pleasure they are to drive and we have come up with some ways that you can afford to get your Mark back on the road. As you look down this page, you will see two basic options. First, there is our conversion that does away with the air system and will last the life of your car. You can chose to put it on just the front or rear, or do the whole car and forget about suspension problems for as long as your car keeps running. We also have most of the replacement air parts you need if you want to stay with an air suspension. You will find new air springs and air struts well under dealer prices, along with suspension compressors, dryers and solenoids. In fact, we have everything except air lines and the computer control modules. Best of all,
all of

parts come with instructions so you can install them yourself, saving
even
more by avoiding that expensive shop time. If you are handy at all
around
cars, you should be able to do this job. The difficulty is about the
same
as a brake job, and requires no special tools as our conversion struts
come pre-assembled.
